www.needapair.com – shady bz by cheats
The time has come for me to resign myself to the fact that the person I consider an online friend has cheated me for the second or third time.
If you have read my post “Scammed Again by a Returning Client”, you will see that I didn’t mention any names. This is because that I still harbor the hope that somehow, my “online friend” will keep his word and pay me for services rendered. Unfortunately, after so many empty promises, he is proven himself to be a worthless employer and a much worthless “friend”.
So I am going to expose him so that virtual workers will know.
My dear virtual colleagues, please beware of this site http://www.needapair.com. This site originates from http://www.popularkicks.com which is now non-existent. I started working for the owner Andrew Marvin Lydner last March 15 – May 9 and so far has received only a portion of the payment. The whole payment for march 15 – April 15 hasn’t been paid. He told me that his mother Mrs. Pauline Brown of GA, who is a school teacher was the one handling the company’s finances. I called up his mom and she kept promising to pay me but again, they were all empty promises. I have also sent them numerous emails and no reply.
The mother sent me a reply a few weeks ago to tell me that I worked for his son, so better asked him for the payment. So this is their trick now huh? to pass me from one to the other. The son didn’t bother to answer all my emails and just ignored me at msn or gmail chats!
As for those of you who are shoes fanatics out there, don’t bother ordering from this website too, they don’t have a customer service team, so you can bet all your questions, complains and concerns will not be answered. If your orders get lost along the way, don’t expect a solution to that. If the shoes’ size does not fit, don’t expect it to be changed.
In short, this website is not only shady but the people behind it are irresponsible. When I worked for it, I was the one who kept harping at the owner to do something about it, I was the one who was tracking all the orders from China to US.
If you think the mother may be better than the son, since she is a school teacher and must have all the moral values and work ethics line up, you can think again, both are of the same breed – Cheats!
New S.O.P. for New Clients
After working online for almost five years, one would have thought I got it made. Unfortunately, everyone is wrong. True, I got several staff working for me, true I have clients and true I got projects, but every once in a while I still get scammed!
Well, the returning client who scammed me is still promising to pay me, though I still have yet to see any sign of green bucks. But this is worse, another client hasn’t paid me for like two months!!….I don’t know what happened to him, my staff working for him is still continuing with the task. But there are no words from him or his assistant. The last thing he said to me was, my staff knows the work already so just continue with that. Just make sure she sends in a daily report, there is no need to baby-sit her as they have lots of things to do.
But it is getting weird, it has been two weeks or more and no communication from them. Of course, the worse part is, we haven’t received any payment yet for work done in May and June. I recalled all our conversation and he doesn’t seem to be the kind of guy that would scam me. He was honest and down to earth and was even planning to visit us here in the Phils. But then, what do we know? Like I always said, working virtual is still a high risk. Trust is a hard thing to trust.
So I am making a new S.O.P for new clients, there will be a half month non-refundable deposit for those who wish to avail of our services. Why half month and why non-refundable? Obviously half month because I don’t want to be scammed again and again, makes me look like a fool. Another thing is, some employers are so inconsiderate, they will tell you to stop working right away because they have no budget already. Well hey, a little notice helps, like a two week notice? I mean who do you suppose will have to pay for the two weeks salary huh? I am running a business here not a charity case!!!
Anyway, I would also like to use this opportunity to call out to ANDREW…..you know who you are, hey man, if you don’t pay me within this month, I am really going to expose you for the scammer you are! Not just you but your mom as well and the website that I worked for.
Trust me everyone, it doesn’t pay to be soft hearted and kind in this virtual working place we are in.
