Clients from HELL
This page lists names of fraudulent clients, most popularly the ones who do not pay. Someone from Craigslist named them Clients from Hell and it is a fitting name for them, so I am borrowing the name for the title of this page.
Please see list below, they are either email address or names of individuals or companies. Got a lot of them from complain postings at Craigslist.
Do check back from time to time as the list will surely grow.

Hello
I met this rude client from Orlando , Florida wherein i did some web designing. He is Eric Moore and his wife Ashley Kays Moore. Their websites are http://www.crea8tiveconsultants.com ( no longer online) and http://www.nerdsagency.com.
Our agreement is a monthly fixed salary. This would mean I get paid for the work rendered whether the design was approved or not. Here is a link to our agreement:

I was only paid on the first month but did not get paid the month after. I followed this up thru emails and chats but got no reply which was rude and dishonest.
We only communicated via email and chat and here’s the last communication I got from Eric Moore stating that he will pay me:

Here’s a photo of Ashley Kays Moore;

During my casual chats with Eric Moore, he implied that he had an abundance of funds and that he finds the expenses in putting up an office in the Philippines as cheap. I save that specific chat. It’s always best to archive all kinds of chats for future references.
I would like to forewarn other freelancers to be careful in dealing with shady foreign clients as they only intend to exploit us.
Thanks.
Spencer
You are right Spencer. It is important to save the important chats as they become your evidence against the client.
I don’t know why these people have to resort to cheating us. Our prices are already affordable and very competitive and yet they have to cheat us.
I have emailed BBB regarding some of the accounts i have yet to receive payments and so far no response from BBB too.
Any suggestions?
thanks.
Hi Marlene,
I am thinking if we all freelancers can make a group petition letter to the U.S. Embassy about these bad clients. We may have a slim chance of recovering our loss but maybe to put some kind of pressure on them. That they better be careful in fooling us here. They can only fool us once and that’s it. Knowledge will be our main defense.
Thanks
Spencer
I agree Spencer, but the problem is these scammers could give us a fictitious name or address and we will never know. We’ve got to think of a more efficient way to catch them.
Hi Marlene,
Yes it’s usually hard to determine on the identity of the client.Lately, whenever I get to meet a foreign client I would first check his name in Google and see if there are negative comments about this client. There’s Facebook, Twitter or LinkedID. It’s usually LinkedID that helps me find out if the name the client gave is his real name and usually their company website or name is also indicated. So when you interconnect your research, sometimes yield results.

I tried calling up the U.S. Embassy and tried to reach someone from the “Economic Section” but no one always answere that extension. I was hoping to find out if the embassy has a way of helping us Filipinos out with our problems.
Thanks and regards,
Spencer
Just to update this posting. An Amicable resolution was completed between Eric Moore, Ashley Moore of Nerds Agency and myself. Just thankful to God for his help.
Thank you and take care
Spencer
